Let the right one in

Let the right one in

In this film there is many different ways they have used props to catch the realism of the effect of dead bodies. For example when the bodies are being hung and when the arm and head gets dropped into the pool but the only criticism I would say is I think there would be more blood coming for the head and arm when they are put into the pool. The mise en scene in this film is not like any other vampire films that you’re normally see because stereotypically in a vampire film you see them with big teeth and some English guy trying to slay it but in this film there is not much of this. She is sort of a loner whom I think askes the question of whether there was more of them or just a freak of nature.

The use of sound in the film brings lots of tension. But sometimes there would be no music at all I think that they did this because they couldn’t capture the emotion of the seen when filming it because of the unnatural creature the vampire. This also backs up my point of her being a loner because that they don’t have any music for her saying that she is one of a kind.
Some of the camera work was well done by making her look pale almost like she is dead. But when she feeds her colour comes back because of the blood she has just drunk. There is a lot of close up shots of her after she had just feed and showing all the blood around her mouth.

The representation of the two characters shows that they are both very lonely but when they are together they are the best of friends and would do anything for each other. It shows that Eli is the villian because see kills people but she is also the victim. this nis because she is lonely and hates her self for killing people. However Oscar is seen as the hero but when he is helping a vampire that kills people how does that make him the hero. I think that the repersentation of these two are best friends not matter who or what they are.
